Author: John Watson

John Watson

Professor John Watson spent nearly twenty years teaching Victorian and early 20th-century literature at a small university in London. His academic focus included the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, and other writers who insisted that danger should always be accompanied by candlelight and proper grammar.

Now retired, Professor Watson has swapped lectures for leisure, and instead of reading and teaching, he finds himself retelling mysteries through a blend of classics, offering an optimistic and giddy perspective from a familiar voice. This time, he’s letting the brilliant Nancy Drew and her quick-witted apprentice Judy Turner-Drew take the lead.

With a fondness for old stories and a newfound delight in retelling them with a lighter tone, Watson hopes The Casebook Chronicles introduces a new generation to the classic twists and turns of the past, just with fewer brooding men and a bit more fun.
