Abbigail J. White

When I was five, I realized I could create an imaginary world that protected me from being small, anxious and neglected. This second reality grew together with me, and sometimes I’m not quite sure which one is the real world.

Reading has always been the fuel that kept me racing through all the years. Lately, I read mostly indies.

I was traditionally published twice, in 2001 and in 2006. My “daytime” job wasn’t compatible with being an author, and I felt my safe place was more dear to me than to compromise it with tasks and deadlines. So I chose keeping my job, and writing as a hobby, or rather, as a way of life.

I have a law degree. I write my stories the way I used to compose academic papers. With tons of research, notes and outlines, and no first draft.

My two kids are the only important things I have achieved in my life. My love letters to eternity.

Running and hiking are my hobbies to release the tension. I started to do martial arts some years ago to better understand how fight scenes should work.

I am officially a weird cat lady.

Thank you for honoring me with your attention.
