An urban fantasy set during the early 90’s. Katie is like any other fifteen-year-old that is a little odd and a little nerdy. The grind of school days often sends her retreating to the man-made lake of the abandoned Bumpy Plains Amusement Park. The stress-free ambiance provides Katie ample time to sketch illustrations and allow thoughts to flow while occasionally enjoying a swim in the clear waters of the lake. It is during one such excursion to the abandoned amusement park, Katie makes a discovery of something unexpected that upends her world and potentially threatens the town’s safety. The turbulence of the discovery affects not just Katie’s future but the future of her best friend as well.
